Help with upgrading (sort of) my verizon wireless phone?

so I recently upgraded my verizon wireless lg chocolate to the samsung intensity just last weekend. It's a pretty nice phone, but it feels... cheap. I'd rather have that phone than no phone at all, but I'm just not... content. If my uncle buys me, let's say the samsung omnia 2 from verizon, at the end of the school year (about the end or middle of june) and he's not apart of my family plan, how would that work? Would we have to pay a termination fee? Can we do that? Do we have to wait for the next time my phone upgrades? Could you please describe the process with details?
 
Unless your uncle is using an upgrade from his account, the phone would cost him full retail price, which will be hundreds of dollars. The only way to be able to get it cheaper in June is to return your Intensity now and wait til June
