Help with title of a book that was advertised in NYC Subway?

The ad was for a book about a broke Russian immigrant who came to the US in her teens and was so depressed she was contemplating suicide. Years later, though, she pulled herself together and became very wealthy... Or something like that. Can anyone help me out?
