I am purchasing a 2002 Mazda Protege tomorrow at a dealer, the car has 132,000 miles on it and I asked them if they knew if the timing belt had been changed. They said they have no clue. Will it be risky to drive the car, or should I be ok? Do quick lube stations such as "Mobile 1, Midas, Oil can Henry's" check timing belts and replace them? If so how much about would it cost to get it replaced?
