I have a 1997 jeep grand Cherokee limited, 4.0 V6, all time 4 wheel drive, I took it through some small mud puddles in the woods, Ran okay while doing so.. Next day, got in started it up, and seemed to start in 2nd gear and had no power of the get go. Then when i shut the vehicle off, and restarted it and it started in 1st, but would not shift out.. Now it normally starts in second still, and the problem persists.. Would this be a bad transmission speed sensor? If so, where is this located on the tranny? Please help!
