Help with setting up a Linux server at home?

I have a rather simple question about DNS that I can't find an answer for online. Simply put, what DNS address do I use when I configure my web server at home. Is it the DNS for my ISP, or the DNS to the one that I have set up through AnyDNS.com? Also do I use the IP for the DNS server or the "ns1.anydns.net" address. Thanks in advance.
