I need a little help here. I found a fantastic store with an amazing variety of things. And I'm all about grabbing the jarred stuff off the shelves but the more interesting things are not on the shelves. So I have some questions and I can't read cyrillic so I'm SOL thus far.

But see there are these FANTASTIC sausage and smoke fish counters... And I don't speak Russian. As it turns out "kielbasa" is just random sausage. In my Polish family it's pork sausage spiced with mustard seed, marjoram and other random spices that makes it taste like my polish family's stuff. This may not exist in Russian sausage - which is fine. If it does, anyone know what I should ask for?

Is Kiszka (Keeshzka) blood sausage in Russian as well? If I ask for that will they know what I want or is there something else I should ask for?

On to fish - I'm FASCINATED by the sheer amount of fish there. But everyone speaks Russian and I don't know what I want. I'm more than happy to try random stuff! I just don't know how to ask for it. Seriously smoked fish? How could anything possibly be bad? But they get annoyed when I just point. Actually if you can give me a better way to just piont to try stuff that would actually be better.

I'm trying to learn Russian just for this store but it's slow going... And I'm hungry.
