Hi, I'm Candace and here's some info that might relate to my questions... I'm 39, have borderline high blood pressure and I have no insurance so I don't go to the dr. much. I'm fairly healthy and feel good most of the time. I'm in a long term commited relationship so I'm not concerned about STRAB and such (though I'm smart enough to never rule out anything!) Also, I had my last child 3 yrs ago. I recently had bloodwork done as a part of a low cost women's health day at our local hospital. There are a few things in the results that are worrying me.
First of all, my cholesterol is a little high...
Total---206
trig---107
HDL---58
LDL---127
I'm not too stressed over this because I understand how to corabat it with diet and exercise.
The thing I'm concerned about is my protein levels. These two were high.
Total protein---8.7
Globulin---4.0
Can anyone help me decipher that? Is it high enough to be really concerned? I can't realistically afford more testing or trips to the dr. but I don't want to ignore something important.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
