I have to do 5 of these of homework and I just need an example to go by. I'm not asking you to do my homework. I just have no clue how do this and I need a little help.
So,
This table shows the median sales prices in thousands of dollars of new one-family homes in the southern U.S. from 1995 to 2004.

Year..............Median sales price
1995...................124.5
1996...................126.2
1997...................129.6
1998....................135.8
1999...................145.9
2000.....................148.0
2001....................155.4
2002..................163.4
2003..................168.1
2004.................181.1

A model for the median sales price during this period is given by:
y= -0.0049t^3 + 0.443t^2 - 0.75t + 116.7, 5< t < 14
where y represents the sales price and t represents the year, with t = 5 corresponding to 1995.

a) use the model and table feature of a graphing calculator to find the median sales prices from 1995 to 2004. How well does the model fit the data?
b) Use a graphing calculator to graph the data from the table and the model in the same viewing window. How well does the model fit the data?
c) Use the model to estimate the median sales prices in 2008 and 2010. Do the values seem reasonable?
d) Use the zoom and trace features of a graphing calculator to determine during which years the median sales price was approximately $150,000.

This is what it says and I am really confused. I know we worked on one in class where we used trace a lot, but it's not exactly like this problem. All I know is the calculator pretty much solves it, but i don't know how.

This is the answer, I just don't know how to get it:
a)
Year..........................1995....…
Median sales price......123.4......127.1........131.5…

Year..........................2000....…
Median sales price.......148.6.......155.5.........16…

b) this is the graph, but I can't put it on here

c) 2008: $218, 155; 2010: $239, 700; or answers vary

d) 2000

Whatever you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks
