it is a wwII fiction book, a kid joins the navy when he is 17 goes to boot camp in Farragut, ID. While on a ship in the Pacific he gets liberty on MogMog island where they are allowed 2 cokes and 2 beers. His division had made some whisky he trades all of there beer tickets for coke tickets and soon a big fight starts. On another ship they are ion the dry docks in San Fransico and the kid stops a gunners mate from blowing up bar with the ships guns. The end of the book has the kid getting a ride home from the mail man at dinner time.
Yes I know how can I remember all this and not the title, heck i can't even remember a little of the title but I loved the book and would really like to find it again.
