Hi,
I'm on a 2 year £45 a month contract with an iPhone 3GS My contract started mid January of this year and it's broke! I plugged it into charge and i woke up and the screen was just white. I phoned up Apple with my case and they told me to send it to them, which I did we went through various tests and we established it wasn't water damaged (the indicators weren't red) and its been kept in a case and I've never dropped it.
today i got an e-mail and they said;
Your IPHONE 3GS has been inspected by Apple technicians, who have determined that it has been subjected to accidental damage or misuse, which is not covered by the warranty or an Apple service contract. Therefore your original product is being returned to you unrepaired. You should expect to receive it within two business days along with a letter that gives details of this assessment.
I am furious. Is there anything I can do, either way no matter what the report says i'm going to challenge it. What are my rights? I haven't a mobile phone and I couldn't afford to pay for two mobile phones. I'm currently with orange and the chances are if I went to them they would re-direct me to Apple. Any help would be appreciated.
regards,
Luke
