Okay, so I had to read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak for my summer reading. It's okay if you haven't read the book, you don't really need to know it. I just want to make sure I am doing everything right so far.
Here is my tone analysis
word: Dismal
-burned
-mountain range of rubble
-misfortune
-hurled bombs
and so on...
Word: tragic
-bombs came down
-Himmel St. was flattened
-bashed and beaten
-shattered floor
-all dying
and so on...
Next we had to do this wheel where we filled in things.
my character was Max
direct characterization
-he was a fist fighter throughout his teenage years
-he was a jew in the time of Nazi Gremany
and so on...
Appearance
I understand that
"words"
-"from now on I will stay down here. You will not hear from me. I will not make a sound."
-"Better than I deserve- thank you"
and so on...
