___ Is a 16 year old girl. She has really straight, dirty blonde hair (or light brown hair) and pastel green eyes. She is a bubbly girl, but she likes to stay away from people sometimes to be herself. Her love- Astronomy. She's in High School now, and she has found her job path. But one lonely, boring afternoon her teacher notifies them that there is to be a meteor shower that night. (Like tonight). She goes home and sets up her own little observatory to record some things. Her friend, ___ stays along. Once the shower starts, at least five would fall every ten minutes. Her friend pushes her to make a wish on a shooting star, in a fooling around kind of way. __ wishes she could see the universe in a new perspective. The next night, she is thrown into something she never would have imagined. Her wish, has come true and now she can watch space while she sleeps. Unwilling, she continues to watch the planets spin and turn. She stays home from school a couple of days, sleeping. Then, one day as she slept, she saw something hurtle its way toward Mars. In five seconds, Mars exploded and now ___ is quite frightened. It could take years for earth to realize Mars was, well, dead. These things keep hurtling toward planets, meaning to destroy the Milky Way. Letting her thoughts combine, she realizes with each coming day that it isn't happening now, its happening in the future. She needs to find her true connection to the vast universe before her mind starts controlling space itself. The way to do that? Somehow get rid of the connection...
It sounds hard to write for myself, but I'm up for the challenge.
So, what I need help with:
Sound like a good plot? Tell me so. And, ideas are surely welcome.
I need a name for the main character's friend. I just need a cool nickname, because the character has her own mystery.
And for the main character, should she have blond or brown hair?
Also, can you choose which name you think suits her more?
