My dad recently wrecked my Lincoln Town Car when he hit a patch of black ice, and it wound up snapping the rear axle. Not really sure if there are other major issues as I haven't had it on a lift yet due to the snow and no money, but I have a 96 Crown Vic that I can use for parts due to it not being in service.
The question here is; Given that I know the Town Car, Crown Vic and Grand Marquis are all pretty much the same car, will I be able to use the rear end parts out of the Crown Vic to fix the Town Car since they are 4 years apart? Being an aspiring technician myself, I know that a lot can change in 4 years with new technology and I want to make sure I don't waste 200 dollars on my friend's piece of crap if I can't use it.
