I have a 1992 Honda Prelude with about 170,000 miles on it. Recently it stopped starting; the engine will sputter, but not turn over. I have established that there is no spark coming out of the distributor which narrows it down to the coil, distributor, and ignition sensor that apparently Honda Preludes have. The wire coming from the starter that goes into the coil is a 4 pronged wire. Only one of them is hot, and I'm not positive, but I would think that 2 should be hot, and 2 should be ground wires. I believe one of the wires that is coming from the starter is the ignition sensor that I was recently told about. So either I have a bad ignition sensor or a bad coil I think. I really would like some help and I'm open for any input that you have.
