Help with ipod touch?!!!! Jailbreak and music?

Okay my ipod is a 3.1.3 and idk how to jailbreak it WIThOUT using itunes, (i cant hook it up for like three more months) i dont really want to lose my music and apps i havr now either. If this CAN be done plz help me! I would also like to know if i can get FREE music downloadable from safari on my ipod. That would be great!!! Plz help
