I'm using tabs across the top and bottom of the page as apposed to navigation at the side of the page for my website. How do I get the bottom tabs to be at the bottom of the page? I have a few pages which dont have much info on them and its just sandwiched between the tabs at the bottom and top. I'm guessing (hoping) there is a way of placing the bottom tabs at the bottom, regardless of the size of the page, without littering the css with mass amounts of margins or padding lol?
Also if you could explain floating and stuff, cos the tutorial im using just went totally over my head when I got this far, or maybe I was too lazy to read it properly.... but the tabs thing is paramount!! My hand in date is next week and i've got the layout sussed without floating, but these tabs are doing my head in!!
Oh, and I had a background colour on my text, which was in <p> tags, and I had no margins, so that there wouldnt be gaps between each line, and there was still gaps, so it made the page look all stripey.. =/ any ideas?
Ooo, and, I had some listed items in <dd> and <dt> tags, which I wanted styled the same as my <p> elements, so I thought I would just stick <p> at the beginning and end of the listed stuff, but that didnt work, so I put <p> tags at the beginning and end of every <dd> tag, but on the inside, because the outside didnt work. Hope I'm not just confusing you now, but is there another way of doing this? because I'm fairly certain you shouldnt really pop <p> tags here there and everywhere..??
And yes i do know how to close tags, thats not the problem. Many thanks to anyone that attempts to answer my ramblings!
