Help with html please?

I saw to many books and websites to learn html but cant get it. if some one can tell me how to put videos on my website with html. or is there any software to convert videos into html code?
p.s. videos on my deskto not from you tube!
 
upload them to youtube, use the "EMBED" thing, and copy paste the embed link URL into your website code.
