Help with History Debate?

in history class were having an debate on the three estates which are the 1st estate, the 2nd estate, and the3rd estate. You have to defend your estate, saying why you think your estate shouldn't be taxed. I'm doing the opening statement for the thrid estate. Here's what i have:

Thrid Estate consisted of the middle class which was mostly made up of peasants and city workers. This estate was the only estate forced to pay taxes. They had to taxes to clergy for a tithe, feudal dues and fines to the nobles, and a land tax to the king. Why should the poor pay for the lavish lifestyles of the rich, when the rich can do it themselves.

i know its not that great but please give some ideas and suggestions im desperate.

The rich usually owned the lands and businesses which the working class faithfully worked for. These laborers in order to live needed to continually pay and work for them at the same time or they would have starved or beaten to death. The non-working class have to maintain their mean realationship to these indigents to create industrious society in which non will be spared for the good of being "NOT LAZY."
