Help with HD on 'HD Ready" TV?

I have a phillips 60pp93 5217 'HD Ready' TV, but when I hook up my ps3 to the HD Inputs (whether via component or vga), the screen just displays jagged, quickly moving lines somewhat resembling what the picture should look like.
How do i connect an HD source to this TV?
(the hd source being a ps3)
