during a prolonged freezing spell my two Pygmy date palms got frost damaged and I had to cut all of the leaves off. The trunks look like they are not going to survive as the green that was left at the base of the leaves is drying out and disappearing. I have read that they may sprout again from the base. My question is what steps can I now take to try and promote any further growth and keep them from dying? Any advice would be appreciated
