Help with flashing W385

Well, I am trying to help a friend out who dropped his touch flashed to cricket in the water.... :crying:

Anyhow, I am trying to get his Boost W385 flashed to cricket. I have Downloaded and installed the VRZ_W385_00.18.08P_MONSTER.shx and then installed the Cricket CKT_W385_02.22.10P_PRImm90893_CUSTOMER_UPGRADE_01.shx. Everything seems fine. I get the phone reset and the cricket time and logos and everything come up.

The problem is that if I remove the battery or turn off the phone, I cant turn it back on. The phone just starts to reset its self.....

I reinstall the CKT_W385_02.22.10P_PRImm90893_CUSTOMER_UPGRADE_01.shx again and its seems to fix the issue unless I remove the battery or turn off the phone.

I used RSD Lite V3.8 to install the software.

Any ideas???

I've flashed several Verizon W385's to Cricket, and even a couple of Boost one's with no issues. I use the RABT generic monster, not the Verizon one. Next I flash the Cricket upgrade, then load the PRL and Cricket browser with RSD CDMA General.

I'm only guessing, but that Verizon monster you used may be the problem.
 
small issue- i can get the RABT flash to stick, but then i run the cricket upgrade and it fails every time. I use RSD lite for this.

is there some secret I am missing to get the upgrade to work
 
I used the RABT first, then the Cricket upgrade. For a first timer flashing it worked like a champion. I have been adding ringtones and wallpapers and stuff to my phone like I change my mind!!

I used RSD Lite to flash them. I didn't have any problems. Make sure the RABT is the right one, and the same for the Cricket upgrade. I still have the files and they are both for the w385...
