Help with Film Titles

I have been doing a film quiz where from clues one had to find the title of a film . I am left with no ideas for these last 8 questions from 117. Anyone any ideas please.
1. Very bad accident,price you ask for in a sale
2. A way to cross water by,two consonants and two vowels.
3. Might ring it, not old, minster in Yorkshire.
4. -- by chance, small number, mostly dark
5. Mental or mind indicating
6. Forty shades,holes in horse odd mens even
7. Object or gadget and spongy ground or toilet gs.
8. ---, streaked, on a knife.

I'd say number 2 is "The Boat".There is a German film that came out in 1981 called "Das Boot" which i believe translated in English is "The Boat".

I would say number 4 is "The Number 23"

Well looks like it is just not me who cannot fathom out these films.

I think number 3 is The Belle of New York. Film from the 1950's? with Fred Astaire.

No 7 = Hickey & Boggs
No 8 = Blade Runner

1 might be Smash cut, fits with the clues anyway.

6 I am thinking The Green Berets, but not sure.

Only one I can think of for number 5 is a film called E.S.P.

Sorry but I think 1 is unlikely to be Crash. Where does the price you ask for in a sale come in to it? Which is why I think Smash Cut is more likely. Very bad accident = Smash and price you ask for in a sale = Cut.
