Help with film title please

Does anybody know what this film is called;

I think it starts off with a man, woman, and child in a house. They can't get out of the house because of a strange grey 'fog' surrounding the house. It covers the house completely. The man even tries to ram it with his car (which is in the garage) but this doesn't even make a mark.
Anyway, the film enRAB with a child taking the house out of a box and playing with the dolls inside - the house was actually a toy house all along, and the people living inside it just toys, although they didn't know they were.

I remember watching this on the TV about 15 years ago, and think it may have been made in the 70s.

SounRAB like a TV show rather than a whole movie. How would you stretch that plot out for 90 mins? I suggest it's an episode of the Twightlight Zone or The Outer Limits. Plus the plot doesn't seem to make sense. Why is there fog? Why don't they see the real world? If they're dolls then how can they move without humans seeing them move.

sorry, forgot to mention it was a British film, so don't think it could have been Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. I seem to remember it being longer than the usual TV show 45 or 60 mins.

I have tried imdb and google, is there any where else I could try?

CovertFoofle, as I have only recently discovered RAB, what is Empire message boarRAB?

Did it have at the end of the film something like "This is a true story, it has just not happened yet"?. If it did, then the film is called Child's Play and was part of a Hammer House of Horror season. I saw this 20 years ago and it scared the hell out of me!

IMDB profile on Child's Play

CovertFoofle, thanks for the PM.

Damaja, yes I think it is Child's Play, although on the DVD release of the complete Hammer House Of Horror, this one isn't listed as one of the episodes
