help with e-mailing ringtones

wow ok I feel durab right now lol...I've been searching around here and I've seen that a lot of people have mentioned something about bitpim. No idea what that is.
but anywho, I tried e-mailing myself an mp3, I recieve it, but I can't hear it. Do I have to put it in a different format or something?

it weighs 231 kb :bulging: I tried using audacity and it couldn't send it  I re-did the ringtone on another program and sent it...I got it but I still can't hear it :crying:  :help:

Best thing to do is get a TransFlash memory chip and a TransFlash USB adapter.

The next best thing is to get the Multimedia Kit from Cricket, which includes a TransFlash memory chip and USB data cable.

No fancy software is needed, just upload the file to a directory on the TransFlash and away you go!

This will let you know whether the tunes you are making are compatible or not.

The Remix should be able to use just about any standard .MP3 as a ringtone without any fancy settings. (You may want to clip the size or just capture part of a song or phrase or whatever.)

Try searching the Kyocera forums for how to make ringtones for the KX16. The remix will play those just fine, and the size will be small enough to email to yourself.

I think that you have to put just the word Ringtone in the subject line and in the message itself. Regardless, the Remix should be able to assign ANY saved sound as a ringtone.

It is such an easy phone to customize!

weird ok so i make my own realtones too...i use wavepad to make them by the way............when i e-mail them to my phone i put ringer as my subject and message.then when i get it i save the media and it automaticly saves as ringer.......i did the same with my friend's audiobox 8910 but i changed the subject and message to tones cause thats where her ringers are under.....maybe u have to do that! i tried sending some to my frienRAB razr and it didnt work either i think he said he's ringers were under ring styles or something like that

ok well this time in the subject and message I put "ring styles", then I went to my options and clicked "store". It says "file type not recognized" and I still can't hear it  it's also not in my ringtones folder :p

ok for the people trying to make a ringtone for the razr....i figured it out yesterday, it worked for my friend's razr..
*cut a piece of a song(i use wavepad it works really good)
*send it to ur phone's email with SounRAB for subject and message
*open the messege press options then store
*go to ur sounRAB and it should be there
try it and let us know how it worked........

omg I think my phone hates me lol  I sent it to myself again (this time I put "SounRAB" for my subject and message), still can't hear anything. Whenever I save a ringtone it tells me "file not recognized"
