My teacher has a gun to my head!??!?!?!?!?!?!?
My class and I are currently working on a major drama performance. We are presenting a surrealist piece on the dangers of irresponsible driving, focusing on teenagers.
At the beginning of the play, one character will die whilst behind the wheel of the car.
This character is then placed in purgatory. From here, we have decided the character should go to heaven and hell, where he has to decide which he would prefer to spend eternity in. There will be short surrealist scenes on both Heaven and Hell. There will be a large number of supporting actors in these scenes - portraying either angels or devils.
In the end, the character ends up choosing hell. We're not sure why though. What should happen in the hell scene, which makes him choose it over heaven? In the heaven scene, we've decided that all the angels are a 'blank slate'. If the main character feels guilt, then all others will. They are a reflection of his own feelings.
We just don't have an idea of what to do for the Hell scene. Please give me some ideas!
Our teacher has a gun to our head, figuratively, of course -as this assessment is due soon and we haven't had much time to work on it. All help is appreciated!
