I often come to Yahoo answers to find help with sick animals, from Doves to dogs to iquanas and am always disgusted with how really rude and hurtful people can be when suggesting the animals owner take the animal to a Vet. Can it just be said without adding all the other ugly remarks. I am the Founder and Director of The Caye Caulker Humane Society on a small Island off the coast of Belize where most folks make $1.25 an hour if they are lucky enough to have a job. Most cant afford the watertaxi and a Vet fees and the day trip it takes to see a Vet. I have often wanted to ask a question on this site but am too dismayed at the angry responses. Their are many small towns throughout the U.S..that have no Vet service, many people take abandoned animals into their homes when they cant even feed themselves...A little restraint with the hate reply's should stop.....a strong suggestion that the animal needs to see a Vet without the slamming is enough.

Pets should be a luxury but sadly with all the abandoned, starving a sick forgotten animals Thank God for folks that try to help and take them in even when they themselves are struggling...often these animals come to your door. These folks dont go out a get a pet...God Bless them...for trying to help.
