This is a continuation of the previous question i asked about converting a 4 ohms subwoofers to 2 ohms. that question was answered perfectly thank you all. But now i have another question
I Recently saw a Kenwood amp with pretty good reviews. its called "Kenwood KAC-9104D 1800-Watt Max Power 1 ohm Capability Class D Mono Power Amplifier with Variable LPF." its on amazon(dot)com. I was wondering if this was a good amp and whether i should go with the pair of CVT shallow 2 ohms speakers or the pair of CVR 2 ohms speakers. the only reason im considering the shallows is because this will be for my 2002 dodge ram quad cab and they will have to go into a sealed box which goes under the seat and i was wondering if it would fit properly or make a difference in the sound quality. also I heard it is wise to run amps at 2 ohms to conserve the life of the amp as it uses less power and causes less distortion. my question is, is this a good amp choice? will it work with these speakers at 2 ohms without any problems or changes? and is it make a huge difference in going with 2 ohms to save wear and tear on the amp? Thanks guys.
