Help with breeding convict cichlids. ?

They had eggs and I dident know about it until they got very agressive toward the other cichlids. I was doing a water change and found the eggs in a pot. I now have the 2 convicts divided from the others. But it has been about 5 days since I notice the change and I was told the eggs should hatch in 3-4 days. Is something wrong. And Also I would like to know which one is male and which one is the female. One is bigger with no red pink marks. And the other is smaller with red pink marks. Thank you
