help with bmx street bikes!?

okay so I wanna try to start riding bmx mostly street, and I don't really know what bike to buy.
I want to tryyyy to keep it $300 and under
I'm 14, a girl, 5'1, 120 pounds.
any tips?

also alot of the street bikes have no brake cables, but I think for a beginner I'd want brakes right?
but I don't know! please help me hah
 
The best thing i suggest you do is go to the local bike shop. I been riding bmx for 4years now..sponsored..on a team. Since your a beginner go to the local shop and look at the bikes they have there. Personally i would look into Mirra co bikes.I been riding their frames for a while they're strong and light and a good bike to start off with.
