Help with BIS

Gooser

New member
Hi again,

Just a got new blackberry through the mail and I'm not sure I'm using BIS when I try to go online even though I signed up for the unlimited data plan. Whenever I try to access the browser I'm sent straight to t-zones. Also, my blackberry will not let me set it up to get email. I'm really only looking to get mail from my gmail account, but that doesn't seem to be working at all. I set up my email on t-mobile's site, but I haven't gotten anything forwarded all day. Is there something else that I need to do that I'm missing? Or is the service just not enabled yet? Thanks in advance for the help.

On your Gmail account did you go to settings>forwardingandPOP/IMAP and then enable POP? I know this is a necessary step to linking your Gmail to your Berry.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

Use the email set up and make sure your pin has been change or register with your account and it should start working and also make sure your service books have been sent to yout phone if not call you service provifer

depends on who your carrier is tmo lets you set this up using your computer and signing in to your account

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~so you already set up u gmail acc trough tmo and you click on send service books?

has your tcp settings being edit as weell? if not go to options/avance options/ tcp and for tmo type under apn : wap.voicestream.com

leave the other fields blank and hit save.

I went to my t-mobile and set up the email again and clicked 'send service books.' I got a pop up saying the service books were sent successfully. I sent myself a test message as well; that's shown up in my gmail inbox, but nothing on the blackberry so far.

Alyxis,

Just to confirm you loged on to your account at MY TMOBILE and you set up your gmail account with your username and password and it was confirmed. Correct so far? Can you compose an email on your BB?

On your browser can you surf (Menu - Goto) to other sites?

How long ago did you activate your data service?

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~if you are on the bis which of course is internet and email for 20$ monthly. If so go to options then advanced options and then browser. Default configuration should say internet browser. If it says tzones. Then click on tzones and change it to internet browser. Save the changes and you should be good from there. In regards to email follow the steps from donluig
