I`m 6`1 and about 12 and a half stone. would a bike frame of 20" be suitable for me or do i need a 22", Is the difference that noticeable? I don't want to look like a giant on a tiny wee bike - any help would be great thanks. its a hardtail mountain bike I`m looking for I`ll be riding it every day in the city - down to uni and back.

f mountain bikes!!!!

go to a shop and let them size u, they do it for free.

if ur commuting ur better off using a road bike!!

I'm about 5'11 and my frame is 19" as reccomended by the bike shop.

A 20" should do your best shot is to get sized up at a shop.

A lot will depend on the bike and the style of riding.

I am 5' 8" tall and I use a 22" road frame for touring but a 19" or 20" bike for a more sporting ride on the road.

For M.T.B frames off road, I use an 18". I'm sure that this would work out at a 20" bike for someone of your size.

Why use a heavy mountain bike for road use in a city?
