Help with betta breeding?

Okay so I'm 16 and I've been trying to breed bettas for some time now...I've done my research...everything set up I had a microworm culture going conditioned the fish 82 degrees. I had bettas from petco so not the best but its my first try so I don't have the money to get a breeding pair I used a huricane lamp just help me pick out my next pair and steps to suceed. I may switch to guppies if this doesn't work haha
