1. Not all people who drop out of high school are "too dumb" to earn a Bachelor's degree. Not all, but most. I'm saying this, because even if people don't say this, they're thinking this. And because, you're going to have to be extremely self motivated to succeed.
2. Motivation. Go to a library every day, spend time in the quit rooms reading. Read up on art history, technique, etc, etc... Make yourself an expert before you even get to college. That will help you tremendously when in college you have 3 or 4 professors stacking far too much reading on you at once.
3. A college degree isn't for everyone. The world needs electricians, secretaries, rocket scientists, mechanics, hair stylists, teachers, accountants, middle managers, massage therapists, and everything else to run. Many of these jobs aren't trained for through regular colleges. Going to a college for most of these jobs would be too expensive. Even when they are well paid jobs. i.e. Teachers and plumbers make about the same per year, but the average teacher has over 50K in loan debt from college, while your plumber usually learns for free, through a union sponsored apprenticeship.
Know yourself. If you didn't enjoy high school academia enough, what makes you think you'll enjoy 4 years of rigorous collegiate academics? (answer this question for yourself... against self-motivation)
