Help with ATT MEdia Net?

I asked a question a couple of weeks ago about how to enable MEdia Net on my phone. I found out that my phone does support internet, and that gophone users can use the internet on their phones. So my question is, if I bought a 1 MB MEdia Net card, than why when I access my internet it says 'Error: Network Unavailable'. I'm a little mad that I can't access my internet although I spent five dollars on it. I would really like to know what's going on.
