I'm an awful procrastinator and was wondering if maybe someone could help me with these questions..? I'd really appreciate it!
1. Suppose the Sun were to be replaced with a black hole that had one solar mass. What effect
would this have on the orbit of the Earth? [It might help to read up on these things first.]
2. Is the composition of the interstellar medium about the same now as it was when the Sun was
formed about 4 1/2 billion years ago? Why or why not? How can you find out what it was like
then?
3. Why are B stars the brightest in open clusters? Why are red giants the brightest in globulars?
