Help with art inspiration?

I've decided to make a drawing that is inspired by the song, "The Bird and the Worm" by The Used. I'm using the first line of it in order to come up with the drawing, but I'm having trouble deciding how to draw it. Here's the first line:
"He wears his heart safety-pinned to his backpack, his backpack is all that he knows. Shot down by strangers whose glances can cripple the heart and devour the soul."
How can I incorporate the heart pinned to his backpack and the strangers into the drawing? Any help would be great!
 
Do a sketch of a man walking away from you showing his back only with a back pack on and a heart pinned on it and a couple of people looking at him and pointing their fingers at him. And have their faces have a scouring look to them.
