ive decided to write a fanfiction for avatar: the last airbender and im having trouble with one part. mai is telling zuko about her past and how she got into knife throwing but im not sure if i should just write it as her telling him about it using the past tense, or if i should just write a flashback for it. im leaning towards a flashback because it might seem more realistic than her just saying it all since there will be a lot of dialogue. what do you think i should do? a flashback? or have her just say it all? also even if you dont watch avatar and have no clue who these people are i think you can still understand the question so please answer! thanks
