On my AT&T family plan we normally have a bill of 200 dollars. My boyfriend has been deployed to Afghanistan and he has been calling me from a special phone he bought on base. From what I can tell it does not cost anything for him to call me and another member of his unit said it would not cost me anything to call him because my calls would be transfered to Virginia and it would be placed as a Virginia call on my phone bill. Well the member was sadly misinformed. We now have a 1200 dollar phone bill that my boyfriend and I have to front because we were to say the least "dooped" into believing him. Any help would be greatly appreciated advise wise. Would AT&T help front a portion of the bill without changing my plan? or are there payment options I can do so that my families phones don't get turned off? Please help I hardly make that much in a month and I would hate to have him pay for the whole thing even though he offered to do so.
Thanks
