It has 124,000 miles on it but, the motor is still running like a new would. This problem started a couple years ago while driving down the road, it started to bounce and took it to dealership and had a new brake job done.
It did not get driven much for a year or so and then once again out of the blue front brake on drivers side locked up to the point of smoking. Took it apart and saw nothing wrong.. cleaned it up, put it back together and it was fine. Same thing happened again about 6 months later, took apart, cleaned it up and it worked fine.
Then yesterday while driving, I put on the brake and could feel something just slightly give way.. around 5 miles later it locked up and almost killed the truck.. It shifted into passing gear and I made it to a rest stop.. It was really hot this time. But took apart.. cleaned up and drives fine now.. What the heck is wrong with it? Caliper? What? Always the same wheel, but not the same circumstances.
