help with a 1989 ford f350 its backfiring?

i have an 1989 ford f350 and its backfiring through the carburetor and the exhaust louder then gun shots and flames like a dragon it starts happening if im low on gas or after driving more then 30 mins some times even if i have a full tank and just started it please help!!!
 
sounds like it getting too much gas, like the floats aren't shutting the gas off completely. it may be time for a carb. rebuild
