My car is leaking oil from the engine block like between the top and bottom parts there is a gap and oil is coming out from there, like where the head gasket would be. I know if the head gasket goes I am completely screwed as it happened with one of my friends to his car and it was in the shop for like a month getting repaired.
I guess my question is how much time do I have before it does go because I can't afford to take it to a repair place so my dad would do it but it would take him a week and my husband needs the car to get to work(he is waiting to start work and I am a SAHM) so we can save up for a new car. If we lose the car we are basically screwed so I need to plan out if it is going to go sometime soon or if I have a little time....
This is the first problem I have ever had with the car. Till now it has been fine.
