Help with 6682

my 6682 keeps telling me to remove my memory card and press ok. i do so and in within a few minutes the msg comes up again. my phone recognizes it as a functioning memory card, but eventually the msg comes up again and again. i checked my card and nothing seems to be wrong with it. any clues on what seems to be going on?
 
How's this for a wild guess: maybe the MMC door switch is damaged and flopping around? I think that the switch is near the hinge of the door.
