I am 16 and looking to get my first horse.
I am only a beginner and have only ridden 6 times.
I am currently volunteering at a place which hosts horse riding and i love it there. thhis is teaching me the basics of horse care- leading, tieing up, brushing, and a little bit of riding. I can trot but when i attempted to canter, my horse began to gallop, and i fell off so i think i will give cantering a miss for the moment.
I am looking for a nice quiet horse to agist and use for pleasure on trails only.
Does anyone have any advice on where i could find one for free lease or cheap buy, what breed would be best etc? Also how much they cost on average.
