I had a small black plastic piece break off my sunroof yesterday after having difficulty closing it. Dealership looked at it and told me there are no part replacement kits available and I have to replace the entire sunroof estimated to cost $875-900. (450 for part + 4-5 hrs labor). It is the pin that holds up the back corner of the roof. They said they will have to remove the entire lining and equipment thus making labor costs high.
Since I have the entertainment system and rear controls right behind the sunroof, I don't want any leaks to damage those things. What can I do? I can't believe this is the only option I have and it is a very expensive one at that. Thanks for your help!
