I own two four month old white's tree frogs, and about three weeks ago had to take one of them (Mowgli) to the vet due to he was leaning on one side, not able to move much, and having what I call seizures. (Legs stick out, and shake).
At the vet, he told me that he might have A. a calcium problem B. a ear infection. So we came at it, as if he had both. Upping his calcium powder, and giving him a oral anti-bac. After only two days home from the vet, he seemed perfectly fine, he was eating again he gained weight and everything went back to normal.
Now, about two day's ago my other WTF (Baloo) began to act lazy, but I put it off to the weather, sense with most of my Anphib's iv taken care of. They seem to become a tad more calm during the winter. Then yesterday, he began having "seizures", and then he'd collaps with his legs stuck out straight behind him. So I went to take Mowgli out just incase, it was something catchable. Then noticed that mowgli to was having trouble walking, just like Baloo, even though he was still bright green. I also noticed when picking mowgli up that he was bloated, which Baloo currently isn't due to Baloo has only had one cricket in the last three day's, while Mowgli ate well over 5.
Im confused on how it became so bad so fast, when things where great just last tuesday. A part of me thinks that Mowgli might have possible Endema (sp?), due to his back legs are slightly swolen as well,. . . however with Balloo, I have no clue, he hasn't moved from his spot at all this evening, while Mowgli at least tries to walk. . the only thing I could possibly think is maybe impaction. However, the fact that they both are sluggish and walking strangly makes me wonder if it's a parasite they are both infected with?
(Also very unlikely, but is it possible for them to hibernate? Because I also wonder if that's the case, sense when I was out for the past to days, my mother evidently turned there heating sorce off, which caused a lower temp.)
Im horrifically scared right now, due to I love these little guys and I'd do anything to make them feel better but I just don't know what *that* is. (Also the Exotic vet, only works three days out of the week now. So I have no vet till monday. )
