Help! What's the best way to maintain energy during Dance/Sports??!?

I'm on a competitive dance team. But this question could be answered by anyone on a sports team also. We have a really complex and high energy dance, complete with stunts and acting. But we always look dead on stage! What are some things we could do to boost our energy?

We usually do Redbull and PB&J sandwiches. And lots of intense streching. Is that a good idea? What else? I want to know what to do/eat the night before, the morning before, and throughout the day.
