my uncle gave me his iphone 2g i dont know the firmware so i plugged it on my pc and i tried to unlock it but i failed using ziphone 3.0 i had to restore it from itunes but itunes download a firmware and install it to the iphone ..so what i want to know is what firmware i tunes installed on my i phone ..i think is the latest one ..but i dont know if itunes just donwloaded the same firmware my phone had before or it just updated to the latest one , i dont know how it works, if anyone knows please help me im becoming crazy with this , i tried the code *3001#12345#* but it doesnt work on my phone i dont know why ..if anyone knows which is the latest firmware for the iphone 2g and how can i fix it .or downgrade it or update it ..cause i tried the dfu mode and alt shift and i tried to restore it with firmwares 1.1.2 , 1.1.3 1.1.4 but an error message appear each time i tried to put a firmware on it thank you in advance for your colaboration ..
note: the phone is totally locked
