Help trying to buy a new 09 toyota tacoma?

Ok so I am planning on getting a new or used tacoma. I know the economy is doing really bad and I think it is the best time to buy a car because I have some money but will the truck prices go even more down? They are asking 28k for a 09 tacoma but i still think that is to much so do you think if I waited a little bit longer they would be more desperate and lower the prices eventually?

It is a known fact that the prices will go down...the question of when is hard to answer unless you are willing to wait until the last quarter of the year. Dealerships and Car manufacturers tend to lower the prices on the current model cars because they are trying to make room for the coming years cars and trucks. So with our crashing economy (which you should probably try to get "prequalified" anyway - the banks aren't loaning much money out right now and it is worse than it has ever been) I would suggest looking around some more....But like I said get prequalified if you can...Because I have people coming in to my lot looking for used cars because with a 750 credit score, they can't get financed.
