...book I seek.? I'm looking for a book I once read at the library.I don't know the author just the story,so if this description sound familiar tell me what the book is called.
It starts out with a boy and a girl snowboarding we soon find out that their in heaven, they each have an animal that talks which brings them messages and such, they check their mail (which are prayers that people say to them) the boy has a prayer from his mother,
the boy soon takes on a task of delivering a massage for the girl to her still living mother. In order to remain on earth for the time to do that he has to eat a special berry. He deliver the massage and is on his why back when he is pick up by the police, thinking the officers will believe the berries are drugs he eats them all and gets stuck on earth. He tells them his real name but he is technically dead so they charge him with Identity thief. He is soon put on trial where the opposing lawyer is his father( who he never had a good relationship with) in the end the boy wins the trial, becomes friends with his father and returns to heaven.
To help with your memory a line said in the book by the father after the trial ends is " I've heard of a sore loser but not a sore winner"
this is said in regards to the boy's lawyer who thinks they a all crazy to believe that the boy came back from heaven.
