help setting tones with dif things

I was wondering how to set up tones for dif things like email and text messages. I know how to set up ring tones fir dif people just can not find how to set up dif tones for text and email.

I have the curve 8320 with new OS Was wondering if I can use ring tones that I have downloaded

Yes, you can use any downloaded ringtone for email, texts, etc.

On the home screen, there's an icon for Profiles. Select that, then scroll all the way down to Advanced and you'll see a list of profiles that you can choose from to make your modifications to. Click on one and you'll see Browser, Calendar, Messenger, all your e-mail addresses, SMS, etc. Going into any one of those you can set the notification sound and volume level, among other things.
